It's more bad news for Strictly. Another celebrity contestant has taken a ballroom bashing and isn't able to perform on Saturday. Ugo Monye has pulled out of this weekend’s live show following an ongoing back injury.
Partnered up with professional dancer Oti Mabuse, the rugby star wrote on Twitter: "Unfortunately I’m not going to be able to dance this weekend on the show.
"I have a history of back problems which has always been managed under the guidance of medical professionals. Unfortunately this has been causing me some unwanted problems this week!"
He continued: "I have been advised by medical professionals and with huge support from Strictly to get some treatment & rest to ensure that I can get myself back to full capacity & fighting fit for next week.
"Gutted Oti & I won’t be dancing this weekend but wishing all the other contestants the best of luck & will be cheering them on from home!"
Fellow contestant Dan Walker commented: "Really sorry to hear that Ugo. Take care of yourself… and that back of yours. If I’m still here… I’ll see you next week."
The star gave an emotional performance previously and dedicated his Samba to his late father who passed away recently.
Speaking to presenter Claudia Winkleman he explained: "My dad passed away a couple of weeks ago of prostate cancer and we had his funeral this morning.
"During the funeral they spoke about today being a celebration and that’s exactly how today felt. There’s no better way of celebrating than by dancing."
Peep Show's Robert Webb has also announced he is having to quit the series because of health issues and has been 'advised to withdraw on doctor’s orders after experiencing symptoms which required an urgent consultation with a doctor'.
We wish them both a speedy, sparkly recovery.
