You can't please everyone, however Celine Dion fans are upset as their hero has been excluded from the Top 200 list.

Celine has sold millions of records and has had a successful career spanning decades, inspiring many singers, however she was missed out from Rolling Stone's Top 200 singers of all time.

The list was first published in 2008, but back then it featured 100 names.

Now it spans decades and genres, including the liked of Aretha Franklin, Freddie Mercury, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey and more.

Newer artists include Rosalía and R&B star SZA and Billie Eilish, whose ‘ASMR-like deadpan’ vocals get a special shout-out in the list.

Black Sabbath’s Ozzy Osbourne also appears.

After the list was shared, Celine's fans shared their confusion on Twitter.

"BLASPHEMY," one wrote

"Oh this has to be a prank..." insisted another.

"Respectfully, not including Celine Dion, arguably the best vocal technician of all time, in this list is borderline treasonous," said another.

Calling for Rolling Stone to say sorry, another insisted: "Celine Dion deserves the first apology of 2023."

"Before you start scrolling (and commenting), keep in mind that this is the Greatest Singers list, not the Greatest Voices List," says Rolling Stone.

Another fan called the decision "treasonous".
