Rock legends Bruce Springsteen and Jon Bon Jovi have been spotted sharing an ice cream together at Springsteen’s favourite dessert spot.

The pair were seen at New Jersey’s famous Jersey Freeze, an ice cream parlour in Freehold Twinship, sharing two cones together.

If you’ve ever wondered what flavour ice cream The Boss orders, it’s chocolate. As for Bon Jovi, he settled for sprinkles (via Asbury Park Press).

The music legends stayed for about 10 minutes before taking a photo with owners Matt Cangialosi and Katie DiNonno, who also told the Press that Springsteen is a regular at their ice cream shop and has been coming since he was a child.

DiNonno said: “This was me and Matt’s first picture with [Springsteen]- we usually don’t bother him when he comes but today it was both of them- there’s no way. I’m taking a picture. It was fun.”

The ice cream parlor posted a picture of the pair to their Instagram and fans of both the shops and the rock legends took to the comments to share their excitement at seeing them together.

One person joked: “I wonder if they called each other said hey do you want to hang out today? Lets go get ice cream”.

Another said: “There is nothing more Jersey than this…3 legends!”

A third wrote: “What a great picture.”

Springsteen and Bon Jovi have been friends for decades after they first appeared together onstage in Asbury Park, New Jersey, in 1980 and have played countless live shows together ever since.

Earlier this year, the pair even joined Paul McCartney onstage during his performance at Met Life Stadium, also in New Jersey.

Springsteen took to the mic first to give audiences a rendition of Glory Days and The Beatles’ classic I Wanna Be Your Man. When Bon Jovi came onstage, he serenaded McCartney with performance of Happy Birthday ahead of his 80th in June.

The pair then returned to stage together for an encore with McCartney and sang The End to close the show. You can watch videos of the performances here.
