One of Coldplay’s upcoming Wembley Stadium gigs has had to be moved because of a planned Tube strike.

Due to scheduled industrial action on the London Underground network, the band’s concert that was going to take place on Friday 19th August will now happen on Sunday 21st August instead.

In a statement on their website, Coldplay say that they “have been informed that there will be insufficient transport for ticket holders on August 19 so, with regret, the event cannot be licensed for that day.”

If you have got a ticket for the gig on the 19th, then your ticket will remain valid for the show on Sunday 21st August instead.

Coldplay state on their website that if, however, you can’t make the rescheduled show, you can get a full refund on your ticket, and you need to contact your point of purchase before 6pm on Wednesday 10th August.

Any returned tickets will then be put on general sale at 9.30am on Friday 12th August, so put that in your diary if you're keen to go.

And the band have also given an update on their other shows at Wembley. Their statement says: “UK rail strikes which do not affect the London Underground network are currently planned on August 13 and 20, but the band’s Wembley shows on these dates WILL go ahead as scheduled.

“Ticket holders intending to travel by train on those days are advised to check with their rail provider before setting off and allow extra time for journeys.”

Coldplay will perform at Wembley Stadium on 12th, 13th, 16th, 17th, and 20th August, as well as the newly rescheduled gig on the 21st (formerly the 19th).

For all six upcoming Coldplay shows at Wembley Stadium, gates will open at 5pm and the show will end at 10.30pm.

After their Wembley gigs, the group will head to Glasgow, for two nights at Hampden Park on 23rd and 24th August.
