Legendary hitmakers Nile Rodgers and Chic are set to play two massive gigs in September, and they are inviting England’s Lionesses to join them on stage. Good Times indeed!

Multi-award-winning artist Nile and his awesome band will take to the stage at the O2 Academy Brixton, in South West London, on Monday 19th September, and will then head north for a show at the O2 Victoria Warehouse in Manchester, two days later on the 21st of September.

Nile is sure to bring his vast array of hits to the shows, including the likes of Le Freak, which is the biggest selling single in the history of Atlantic Records, and Good Times. Other megahits in CHIC’s immense back-catalogue include Everybody Dance and I Want Your Love.

Having worked with some of the biggest names in music, Nile Rodgers has a legacy that is responsible for over 500 million record sales. He’s teamed up with the likes of Diana Ross, David Bowie, Madonna, Duran Duran and Daft Punk. And, as anybody who has caught his live shows will tell you, he and his musical gang sure know how to bring an amazing party.

In a statement about the two new shows, Nile Rodgers said: “After the blues of Covid we’ve had an incredible summer in the UK getting up front and close with all of our incredible fans. What better way to celebrate the last day of summer and the first day of autumn than with our final UK shows of the year at Brixton and Manchester."

Speaking about getting the England women’s team - who won Euro 2022 - along for the party, he added: “We want to invite all the Lionesses who’ve made the whole country so proud to get up on stage for what will truly be Good Times!”

Having just played a run of UK shows, Nile posted a video of himself roller skating yesterday (1st August). What a cool guy!

Tickets for the September shows in London and Manchester go on general sale Friday 5th August at 10am via livenation.co.uk. Get in quick, because if you snooze, you lose!
