Glasgow’s TRNSMT festival has completed its 2022 line-up, with Years & Years joining the already very impressive bill.

The festival’s headliners, Paolo Nutini, The Strokes and Lewis Capaldi, had already been announced, and now the final piece has been put in the jigsaw with the inclusion of Olly Alexander’s project as the special guest.

Olly will appear on the Main Stage on Saturday 9th July. New York indie icons The Strokes will headline the stage that night, supported by Foals. The Snuts and Fontaines D.C. will also play after Olly.

Other acts to look forward to at TRNSMT include Sam Fender, Tom Grennan, and Wolf Alice, while the legendary Nile Rodgers and CHIC will no doubt get attendees moving with their seemingly never-ending array of bangers.

Meanwhile Isle of Wight’s Wet Leg - who recently hit the number one spot in the album charts with their debut record of witty indie-pop - are also set to play, as are Ella Henderson and Alfie Templeman.

Gang of Youths, Jimmy Eat World, and Sheffield’s Self Esteem will take to the stage over the weekend as well.

Wigan band The Lathums - who released their number one debut album, How Beautiful Life Can Be, last year - will also be on the bill.

Earlier this year, Years & Years released the LP Night Call, which hit the top of the UK album charts. When Olly Alexander joined The Chris Evans Breakfast Show with Sky in January, he said: “It’s all about connection and meeting someone, and that feeling you get when you’re with someone.”

The artist also told Chris: “In the beginning, Years & Years was a three-piece, and now it’s just me!”

Along with Years & Years, the final acts to be announced for TRSNMT today are Dylan and The Skinner Brothers.

Cinch presents TRSNMT takes place between July 8th-10th at Glasgow Green. For ticket information, go here.
