Iconic reggae band UB40 will be taking to the road this spring for the first time in over a decade.

Their highly anticipated Bigga Baggariddim Tour is a must-see for any UB40 fan and will be kicking off in May, with brand new member Matt Doyle making his debut.

The tour will also feature a live premiere of their brand-new track 'Champion', which the band has written for the new multi-artist album ‘On Record’ as part of the Birmingham 2022 Festival ahead of the Commonwealth Games.

The album ‘On Record’ has been commissioned and produced by Birmingham Music Archive and will feature eleven original songs exclusively written and recorded by some of the city’s best talent.

Along with new music, the tour will also be a celebration of the band’s most loved tracks such as Red, Red Wine, Food For Thought, Kingston Town and (I Can’t Help) Falling in Love With You, among many others.

The band will be made up of founding members Robin Campbell, James Brown, Earl Falconer, Norman Hassan as well as long-term members Martin Meredith, Laurence Parry, Tony Mullings and Ian Thompson.

New member Matt Doyle will also be making his debut, who was announced as the lead singer in 2021 following Duncan Campbell’s retirement.

Guitarist and vocalist, Robin Campbell, said: “We’re so excited to finally be going back on the road and feel the vibe and love of a live crowd, and for all the UB40 fans to meet Matt as well. They can expect a phenomenal show. We’ll be sure to bring the party.”

The 18-date tour will stop in locations across the country such as Bristol, Aberdeen, Liverpool, Manchester, Plymouth, Stockton and Stoke with newly announced dates in Birmingham, Leeds and London, plus many more.

Since they formed in 1978, UB40 has become one of the most successful reggae bands in the world, selling more than 100 million records worldwide. They have also released more than 50 UK hit singles, including three number ones, making them one of the most successful British groups of all time.
