Not only are Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift treating fans to their latest music, they’re also walking down memory lane in the brand new music video.

The talented musical duo are back with their new song, a version of Ed’s track The Joker and The Queen.

The release comes 10 years after their very first collaboration ‘Everything Has Changed’, and in a fun treat for loyal fans, the music video is a loving call-back to their very first tune together.

Ed took to Instagram to share the release, and wrote: “Me and Taylor first met and wrote and recorded our first song together in 2012, 10 years ago now.

“I’m so so honoured to have her on this song. Not only is she the best singer/songwriter in the world but she’s also a very close friend, I’m very lucky to have her in my life.”

The music video is also out to enjoy, and Ed explained: “We got the kids from our song Everything Has CHanged, all grown up and off to college now!”

The college kids still hold a real resemblance to the singers, just as they did 10 years ago. The story of the video suggests the kids are separated by different schools, and they're pining for their childhood sweetheart.

They’re seen struggling through their classes, sitting alone at lunch, and looking bored at parties on their own, until they reunite back on the street they grew up on.

The acoustic release comes just after Ed confirmed he’s working on a heavy rock track with Bring Me The Horizon following their incredible BRITs performance.

While chatting to the Daily Star newspaper’s Wired column (and as reported by Bang Showbiz), Ed revealed: “We're going to write a song together... Playing with Bring Me The Horizon was a dream.

“I got in touch with [singer Oli Sykes] and we were going to write together but then the pandemic happened, so we were in touch - I've been a fan for a long time.”

It turns out Ed has been thinking about trying out something with a heavier sound for a little while, having grown up listening to similar music.

He added: “Oddly enough that's the kind of music I grew up listening to and had a Kerrang subscription and I listened to it constantly."
