Legendary electronic musicians The Chemical Brothers are set to take over a Yorkshire stately home for a summer rave this year.

The brothers behind the name, Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons, will perform in the grounds of Castle Howard just outside York on 26th June this year.

The stunning Grade I listed building was built upon the site of a former castle and has been home to the Carlisle branch of the Howard family for more than 300 years.

It has appeared on-screen in the 1981 and 2008 adaptations of Brideshead Revisited, and more recently in the Netflix series Bridgerton.

The DJ duo teased some exciting news on their Twitter, which geared up fans to an announcement, leaving many excited for some potential performances.

They will join Duran Duran, who will headline at the beautiful venue on Friday 17th June.

The gig will be a unique outdoor experience for The Chemical Brothers, who started their career performing in dark underground nightclubs and have headlined massive music festivals around the world since.

As well as the Castle Howard gig, the DJ duo will also headline London’s All Points East festival later in the summer alongside Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, Kraftwerk, and Gorillaz.

Fans will no doubt want to see if the band has any new music to tease during the upcoming gig. The band’s ninth studio release ‘No Geography’ came out in 2019 and earned them the Grammy award for Best Electronic/Dance Album.

Tickets go on sale on Friday 11th February at 10am.
