We’ve had a Queen musical, we’ve had an ABBA musical, but how about an Oasis musical? We don’t know about you, but we’d be mad for it!

Noel Gallagher has revealed that he has been approached more than once about the possibility of a musical on his life and Oasis.

The legendary musician also said that the suggestion had been made for a musical just about him. “The idea of a musical has been floated to me on more than one occasion,” he said.

Speaking to his old friend Matt Morgan on YouTube, the artist added: “Somebody had an idea of, like, a Noel Gallagher one called Everybody Is On The Run, and then there was an idea for another Oasis one.”

A couple of years ago, the singer and guitarist told The Sun that he had been approached by producers keen to put together a stage-show based on Oasis’ rise to fame. He said: “People have been on to me about that for the last 10 years. And funnily enough Live Forever is always the title.

“I spoke to an English guy who works on Broadway who knows about these things and he was like saying, 'Your journey from rags to riches'. And I was like, 'Do you have to make it so Dickensian? I never wore any rags.’”

He added: “It's inevitable it will happen one day. I will go and see it once."

During his recent chat with Matt Morgan, Gallagher also spoke about his career away from Oasis. “My solo career is 10 years old, which is the same age as my son,” he said.

“I would have to say I am most proud of my son, as they both give me an extraordinary amount of joy. I have to say my son."

He joked: “I really mean my career, but I am going to have to say my son."

Speaking more about his work, the musician added: “I am not proud of what I do, as I expect it to be great and I move on to the next thing. I don’t stand there saying: ‘Isn’t this wonderful?’”

Noel released a new Greatest Hits album with the High Flying Birds earlier this year, while a documentary about his former band, Oasis Knebworth 1996, landed in cinemas. When speaking to The Chris Evans Breakfast Show with Sky about the possibility of Oasis ever reforming, he said: “I love Oasis. It’s the proudest achievement of my life, but it’s like, once you’ve done it once, you’ve done it. And, at the time it was a special thing, you know? And you can’t keep going back there. Obviously, nobody knows what’s going to happen in the future, but as I sit here today, a reunion doesn’t appeal to me.”
