The football season might be coming to an end, but the 2020 UEFA European Football Championship, which was postponed last year, will be taking place over the summer. So, there’ll be plenty of international footy to keep us going until we can get back to watching our own domestic teams repeatedly let us down next season! And to help get us in the mood for The Euros, the official song has just been released.

We Are the People sees Dutch DJ and record producer Martin Garrix join forces with U2 frontman Bono and guitarist The Edge.

Of the track, Garrix said, “Creating the music for one of the biggest sports events in the world together with Bono and The Edge has been an incredible experience. I’m very proud of what we did together and excited to finally share it with the world!”

UEFA marketing director Guy-Laurent Epstein added, “The long wait is almost over, and we are delighted to officially unveil the official song for UEFA Euro 2020, We Are The People, which features some of the world’s most celebrated artists in Martin Garrix, Bono, and The Edge.”

Check out the video for the official single, which sees the three artists giving thumbs-up and peace signs, along with clips of people having a lovely old time playing and watching the beautiful game.

England, Wales and Scotland have all qualified for The Euros, which take place in various cities, from June 11th 2021 to July 11th 2021. So get the fixtures in your diary and get ready for a summer of football!
