It's not quite finished yet though, so you'll have to wait a while longer, Queen fans.
Brian May and Roger Taylor have talked about how they tried to record a new song with Adam Lambert.
They apparently tried to record the as-yet-unnamed new song when they were in Nashville, as part of a US tour.
Taylor teased: “We did record a song which we haven't actually finished. I can't remember what it's called. I think we were still discussing what we should call it.”
May adds: “It was a song that we'd tried to adapt that had come from a friend. It had the makings of being a great song, but we couldn't crack it. We couldn't get there.”
Hopefully, the band will revisit it after the pandemic and give it another go. Music lovers definitely don't mind waiting if it means getting new Queen songs.
Fans have long loved Adam Lambert and his performances too, although nobody could ever truly replace the iconic Freddie Mercury.
Taylor isn't counting out a new Queen album with Adam Lambert doing the vocals.
“It would be nice to do some stuff. I wouldn’t rule it out. Adam has said, ‘Any time you want me to sing on something…’ If the other two decide, ‘Let’s do something’, I'd be there.”
Like many bands, they recently had to reschedule their 2021 Rhapsody tour due to the pandemic. The tour will now start on May 30, 2022.
