Sir Paul McCartney is set to perform live in the UK for the first time in over two years.

The Beatles legend - who last played on these shores at 2022’s Glastonbury Festival - has announced four new arena shows later this year.

Sir Paul will play shows in Manchester and London this December. They will represent the first UK gigs in his Got Back Tour, which has thus far seen the musician playing hits from his dazzling career in various locations across the globe.

Having started in 2022, the tour finally lands in the UK, with dates at Manchester's Co-op Live Arena on 14th and 15th December, followed by two nights at London's O2 Arena on 18th and 19th December. Fans can expect to hear classics such as Hey Jude, Live and Let Die, Band on the Run, Let It Be and many more.

If you are keen to score tickets, then make a note on your calendar that tickets will go on sale from Friday 21st June, at 10am.

In a statement, the megastar musician said: “I'm excited to be ending my year and 2024 tour dates in the UK. It's always such a special feeling to play shows on our home soil. It's going to be an amazing end to the year. Let's get set to party. I can't wait to see you.”

Manchester’s new Co-op Arena will welcome the former Beatle having previously been beset by issues earlier this year over a disastrous few weeks which saw shows, including Peter Kay’s current comedy tour, Olivia Rodrigo’s Guts tour, and five Take That concerts cancelled, postponed and rescheduled as a result of issues with the arena. It eventually opened in May with an Elbow gig.

As well as announcing four UK dates, Sir Paul has also unveiled dates in Paris and Madrid.

The newly-announced European dates are as follows:

Tuesday 10th December - Wizink Centre, Madrid, SPAIN
