Richard Ashcroft is the first act revealed for Heritage Live’s Audley End summer 2024’s shows.

The iconic singer-songwriter and former The Verve frontman will be headlining the show in the grounds of the Essex-based English Heritage site, supported by special guest performers Ocean Colour Scene and former Kasabian vocalist Tom Meighan.

The Acoustic Hymns artist will take to the stage on Saturday 3rd August, 2024.

Pre-sale tickets for the event will be available from 9am on Wednesday 11th October, and general sale begins on Friday 13th at 9am.

Audley End House and Gardens-based concerts are fast becoming a firm staple in the summer events calendar, with locals around the Essex and Cambridgeshire area much-anticipating the line-ups each year, and audience members travelling from up and down the country for concerts at the beautiful site.

“We’re delighted to announce the first show of what will be our sixth year bringing live concerts to Audley End, one of the most beautiful venues in the country,” said Giles Cooper, promoter of the GCE Heritage events.

Continuing in a statement released alongside the news of the two-time Ivor Novello winner’s headline show, he said: “We’re really excited to announce Richard Ashcroft as the first headliner for next year.

“I remember seeing The Verve’s first ever London gig at the King’s Head pub in Fulham in 1991, when I worked at NME, with just ten people in the audience. They were signed later that night, and over 30 years later Richard has cemented himself as one of rock’s truly iconic frontmen,” Cooper finished.
