This has blown our minds (and nostrils). A US man has amazed people by breaking the record and becoming king of pushing a peanut up a mountain using his nose – which took SEVEN days.

Bob Salem achieved the special/strange feat at the top of Pikes Peak in Colorado which has previously been attempted by three other people.

The record-breaker said: "When I did it in the daylight, I'd have to stop every 10 minutes, five minutes, and take some pictures, talk to some people and do all that kind of stuff so it kind of dragged on the trip a little."

Over the week he racked up over 24 peanuts because they would fall through cracks in the rocks.

He continued: "I don't feel sore or anything but I know I lost some weigh. My muscles are fine, it was just doing the back and forth that really took it out of me."

Eating peanuts, crackers, pop tarts, ‘an old can of survival food from 1964’ and ‘carbohydrate candies’, his mission was accomplished a day earlier than the previous record of eight days.

A representative of the city of Manitou Springs met him at the top of the mountain to present him with a jewellery box for his final peanut and two plaques commemorating his effort.

Absolutely nuts. (Pea) nuts.
