We all know an early bird who thrives with a morning alarm.

What about those of us who are night owls who come to life after the sun sets?

Here are some tips from a fellow late-night fan who says these techniques made the morning more manageable.

TikTok user Shelby Taylor shared her tips for getting going even with an early start.

She starts off by packing her bag the night before so that it's ready to go, and no stumbling around still half asleep trying to find everything.

Next, she swears by preparing breakfast the night before too.

This could be some overnight oats, preparing a sandwich or just putting a banana and an apple in your bag so that you have something on hand.

Preparation is definitely the key, as Shelby also makes herself an iced coffee the night before too, and leaves it in the fridge overnight to chill along with her water bottle.

Another step to make her morning stress free is to pick out her outfit the night before too.

Bad news for phone addicts, scrolling through TikTok or Instagram late into the night isn't the way ahead.

Shelby makes sure that all of her devices are fully charged before bed, switches her phone off and puts it away by 10.30pm.

While it might seem like a lot of steps, Shelby says this has turned into a 15 minute nighttime routine, and then she can relax the rest of the time.

"I'm not a morning person so this is the only way" she told viewers on TikTok.

Fans agreed with her, with one answering: "Prepping for my morning at night changed my life!"

Someone else joked: "anything we can do to gain an extra hour of sleep!" she joked.

"For those of us that feel like death in the morning this is the way!" added another.

If you struggle to sleep at night, these tips might help.

Other people have gone mad for this bargain sleep tea, while others have been trying lettuce water.
