Genius hair hack: How to avoid tangling stray hair round the hoover

Vacuuming isn't exactly top of our fun-things-to-do list, nor is cutting rogue hair out of the hoover. It's time to put the scissors down. One cleaning guru has shared a top tip how to avoid the dreaded tearing task.

A professional cleaner Lisa aka @cleanhappyco shared her hack on TikTok and wowed users.

She shared her secret that she RAKES her carpets prior to hoovering to avoid clogging up the machine with stray hair.

Lisa told followers: “It’s actually saving me time, because when you have as much hair as I do, it falls out, like non-stop.

"So when I use a vacuum, it all gets caught up in the beater bar and then I have to spend even more time to get it all out. So, I’m reducing the amount of hair that gets caught in there.”

Racking (read: raking) up over 394,000 likes, people were amazing by the hair hack.

One wrote: “No more having to cut my hair from the vacuum!”

Another added: “Omggggg why have I never thought about this. Don’t have a pet lol but my hair is all over."
