Bob Odenkirk says he has filmed a remake of infamous movie The Room, and it’s all for a good cause.

Originally released in 2003, The Room was written, produced, directed by the mysterious Tommy Wiseau, who also starred in it. If you’re not sure of the film we are referring to, it was the subject of the 2017 movie, The Disaster Artist, featuring James Franco, Dave Franco and Seth Rogan.

Despite The Room being notorious as one of the worst movies of all-time, since its release it has gained a massive following, regularly selling out screenings around the world to this day, with fans packing cinemas and quoting the classic lines back at the screen.

If you’ve seen the film, you’ll know exactly the kind of lines we’re talking about.

“You're tearing me apart, Lisa”

“Oh, hi Mark.”

“Everybody betrayed me! I’m fed up with this world.”

Now, it turns out that Bob Odenkirk is remaking the movie! Responding to a post on Twitter which said he was involved in the project, he wrote: “This is real. This is true. And let me tell you, I tried my best to SELL every line, as honestly as I could... and I had a BLAST”.

As reported by Slash Film, the production will benefit a charity called amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research, and the organisation Acting For a Cause is also involved.

The film, directed by Brando Crawford, will use greenscreen to recreate the iconic scenes. The filmmaker took to Instagram to share a production still.

We can’t wait to see this take on this cult classic, and if you get the chance to catch the original, we highly recommend it. You’ll have a blast!

Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad actor Bob is also set to star in a new dark comedy series, Lucky Hank.
