Neighbours are bringing back some familiar faces to Ramsay Street.
Amazon Freevee and Fremantle, who are working to return Neighbours to screens after it was cancelled in July, have announced seven cast members who fans will no doubt be thrilled to see once again.
Those returning are Annie Jones (as Jane Harris), Rebekah Elmaloglou (as Terese Willis), Georgie Stone (as Mackenzie Hargreaves), and Tim Kano (as Leo Tanaka), who will reprise their roles as series regulars.
Returning in guest roles are Ian Smith (as Harold Bishop), April Rose Pengilly (as Chloe Brennan), and Melissa Bell (as Lucy Robinson).
They will be joined by Neighbours icons Stefan Dennis (Paul Robinson), Alan Fletcher (Karl Kennedy), Ryan Moloney (Toadie Rebecchi), and Jackie Woodburne (Susan Kennedy), who helped to announce the reboot in November.
Production on Neighbours will start this spring, with the first episodes expecting to land in autumn on Amazon Freevee in the UK and US.
Fans were left devastated upon hearing the news the Aussie soap was being axed after 37 years on air.
When the news first broke in March 2022, fans rushed to save the then-Channel 5 series, with over 60,000 viewers signing a petition to keep it running, but it wasn't enough to save the series from cancellation.
The Neighbours finale was quite the star-studded spectacle, bringing back all the big names that had since gone on to become huge stars in Hollywood and beyond, including Margot Robbie, Guy Pearce, Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan.
Neighbours first started in 1985, and it hit UK screens in 1986 when it was shown on BBC One. In 1988, close to 20 million UK viewers watched Scott (Jason Donovan) and Charlene (Kylie Minogue) get married.
Fans will be hoping for even more iconic moments when Neighbours returns later this year with brand new episodes alongside two series themed FAST Channels on Amazon Freevee, Neighbours – Looking Back, available now and Best of Neighbours, starting on 7th March.
Neighbours will air on Amazon Freevee later this year.
