Catherine Zeta-Jones still takes the tube despite being worth '$150 million'

Catherine Zeta-Jones is a household name but her star quality doesn't stop her from taking the tube.

Fresh from starring as Morticia in the record-breaking Netflix series Wednesday, Catherine remains down-to-earth with her preferred mode of transport.

She shared a video of herself taking the London Underground on her social media.

With her combined wealth with fellow A-list husband Michael Douglas, she could definitely afford a private car.

She reportedly has a net worth of $152 million (£123 million). Catherine did make an effort to hide her identity with sunglasses and a hat, but she appeared to have the entire carriage to herself.

Chatting to the camera, she said: “When you're the only one on the tube and you're very happy.

“London, just me, on public transport.”

She captioned the short video: “Tube Time! London Transport!”

Her husband, Michael, opened up about how they balanced their careers with having young chilren.

He said they alternated taking big roles at different times to keep some sense of normality for their children.

Catherine and Michael have two children together, 18-year-old Carys and 20-year-old Dylan, in addition to Michael's oldest son Cameron from a previous marriage.

He told Lorraine Kelly that there was no competition between the pair: “I don't know about that, I think we both do our own things.

“We [tried to] do it at different times so when the kids were younger, so we could be there. “But no competition, Catherine's going to do another year of Wednesday and a lot of other projects right now.

“Truth be told, my kids couldn't see the films I've made. It's another generation of fans, it's as close as you get to immortality, a bunch of kids now know who you were before, that part is fun.”
