Liam Gallagher has shared a trailer for his upcoming documentary, Knebworth 22.

This summer, the singer played two sold-out shows at Knebworth Park, 26 years after his former band Oasis played the iconic venue. Earlier this week, it was announced he would be releasing a feature-length film about the gigs, with live footage and some behind-the-scenes clips from the event.

The documentary is set to arrive in UK cinemas for a limited run on 17th November and will be released on Paramount+ later this year.

In the sneak peek trailer posted today (21st October), we see fans from all over the country journey to Knebworth to watch the former Oasis frontman perform.

In a voiceover, Gallagher says: “After the pandemic, y’know… the bills are fucking too high. There’s a load of this shit, a load of that shit. The government’s not fucking listening. Stick us all in that field and [let’s] have that special time again. It’s fucking amazing.”

We then catch a glimpse of Liam preparing backstage before stepping out with live footage from the show.

In a previous statement, he said of the documentary: “To have played to multiple generations at the same venue so many years apart was beyond Biblical. I’m so glad that we documented it. Knebworth for me was and always will be a celebration of the fans as well as the music. Enjoy the film and let’s do it again in another 26 years. LG x.”

Tickets for the screenings went on sale today at 9am, and you can purchase yours here.

Liam has said the documentary, directed by Toby L, will not feature any Oasis songs because his brother and former bandmate Noel has “blocked them”.

Elsewhere, Noel has said there is “no point” in an Oasis reunion because they are as popular now as they ever were.

He added: “If we got back together there would be a circus.”

Knebworth 22 premieres in UK cinemas on 17th November.
