Dwayne Johnson became emotional after kind words from Rob Delaney.
The duo appeared on The One Show, and Delaney recalled a sad moment about how The Rock reached out to him following the death of his two-year-old son.
Johnson had kind words for Delaney after the tragic loss.
The pair previously worked together in 2019 on the Hobbs & Shaw film.
Delaney was on the show talking about a memoir he has written about his beloved late son Henry.
During the interview, they discussed the importance of support from friends and family.
Delaney revealed that Johnson reached out after he shared the news online.
"We hadn't [worked together] at this point but yeah he sent me a lovely tweet after Henry died which he didn't have to do, you know? And that was very sweet and made me feel great, and then a couple of years later we did Hobbs and Shaw."
The interviewers said it can be hard to know what to say, meaning sometimes people are "intimidated into not saying something".
Johnson was wiping away tears during the conversation. He explained he has children too, all girls, age '21, 16 and four'.
"That story, hearing that rocked us in our household," Johnson said.
Delaney said Johnson displayed a "good template" on how to handle difficult conversations.
"He said Henry's name and... said something sweet. It made me feel nice," Delaney recalled.
Johnson also tweeted at the time: "Stay strong my friend. My ohana sends love and light to you and your ohana."
Henry was diagnosed with a brain tumour and underwent two years of treatment, but sadly passing away in 2018.
