Netflix has revealed some first look images from Knives Out 2 with Daniel Craig reprising his role as Detective Benoit Blanc.

The film, titled Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, will see Craig leading another murderous party, but this time it will be set on a glorious compound in Greece with a whole new group of 'killer' guests.

Joining the former Bond star for the movie will be some other big names such as Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe and Kate Hudson.

Leslie Odom Jr, Jessica Henwick, Madelyn Cline, Kathryn Hahn and Dave Bautista will also feature, with Rian Johnson at the helm as director.

The murder mystery is set to premiere in cinemas before heading to Netflix on 23 December, just in time for Christmas!

The official synopsis reads: “In the follow up to Rian Johnson’s Knives Out, Detective Benoit Blanc travels to Greece to peel back the layers of a mystery involving a new cast of colorful suspects.”

Other than that, not much else known about the plot of the second Knives Out movie although Rian did give us a taste of what to expect in a chat with Netflix Tudum.

Speaking about Craig’s character, Detective Blanc, the director said: “So Blanc was always outside of the sphere of our protagonist and was a little bit more of an enigma in the first movie.

“Whereas, in this one, Blanc gets an invitation to come to this murder mystery on this island. We’re very much meeting these people and getting into this world through his eyes.”

The director also warned that this movie will have a slightly different feel to the 2019 original, although it has taken some “clear inspirations” from the hit film.

Rian added: “There are absolutely some very clear inspirations that I took from it.

“First of all, it’s structured around a group of friends, or frenemies, who all have a power dynamic with one of their successful friends.

“It begins with him sending an invitation for them to come and play this murder mystery game at this exotic locale. In The Last of Sheila, it’s on his yacht, and everything ends up going horribly wrong. That is essentially how Glass Onion begins.”

Glass Onion: A Knives Out will premiere in cinemas before landing on Netflix on 23rd December.
