Another celeb has been added to the line-up for this year’s Strictly!

Singer-songwriter, TV and radio presenter Fleur East will be busting some moves when the hit BBC show returns later this year.

Fleur was runner-up in series 11 of The X Factor, and has released two albums. She also appeared on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! back in 2018. She has also featured as a presenter on Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, as well as hosting ITV gameshow The Void.

The news of her inclusion in the next Strictly line-up was revealed this morning (11th August), with the official Strictly Twitter page saying: “She's heading in the direction of the #Strictly dance floor. Welcome pop star and presenter Fleur East!”

In a statement, Fleur East said: “I’m equally nervous and thrilled to be part of this year’s Strictly line up. I’m excited to learn new skills and I want to soak up every moment of this magical experience. It’s such an honour to be on the show after years of watching it with my Father who loved it so much. Unfortunately my Dad is no longer with us but I know he will be watching over the ballroom in spirit. I’m doing this to make him and my family proud and can’t wait to get my dancing shoes on!”

Fleur joins ex-footballer Tony Adams, singer and actress Molly Rainford, as well as Will Mellor, Kym Marsh, Richie Anderson, Kaye Adams, Jayde Adams, Ellie Simmonds, Tyler West, Matt Goss and Ellie Taylor in the celebrity line-up this year.

The BBC has confirmed a launch date for the upcoming 20th series of the hit dancing show, which you can read more about here.

Strictly Come Dancing will return to BBC One later this year.
