Preparations for Strictly Come Dancing 2022 seem to be well underway.

While we all eagerly await the names of the stars who will waltz their way onto the Strictly ballroom, professional dancer Dianne Buswell has shared the very first look at the rehearsals, which kicked off this week.

The Aussie pro posted a number of studio snaps via Instagram with the new faces of Strictly, including Lauren Oakley and Michele Tsiakkas.

Some familiar movers-and-shakers in the pictures include Johannes Radebe and Graziano Di Prima, and Dianne captioned the photo: “Welcoming these beautiful ladies to @bbcstrictly.”

The red-haired dancer also shared a group shot with the Strictly female dancers, including Luba Mushtuk, Karen Hauer, Nancy Xu, Amy Dowden, Lauren, Jowita Przystal, Michele, Nadiya Bychkova and Katya Jones.

Looking at all the positive faces in the photos, it seems rehearsals are already going well with newbies Lauren and Michele, who will be joined by fellow newcomers Vito Coppola, and Chinese National Champion Carlos Gu.

Other Strictly pro dancers making a comeback for 22 include Neil Jones, Nikita Kuzmin, Cameron Lombard, Gorka Marquez, Giovanni Pernice and Kai Widdrington.

Speaking about the opportunity to join the Strictly team, Vito said: “I am really excited to become part of this family. I cannot wait to start this new adventure and to challenge myself. Strictly sto arrivando! (or: Strictly I am coming!)”

Lauren added: “I’ve grown up watching Strictly, always hoping that one day I could be part of the best show on television, doing what I love the most. Now that it’s happening, it doesn’t quite seem real. I can’t wait to start this new sequined adventure and join this incredible family.”

It comes after former Emmerdale star Adam Thomas claimed he was the first celeb signed up to Strictly 2022.

According to MailOnline, the soap star is allegedly swapping a TV set for the ballroom on this year’s contest.

He said: “Bring it all on I love a bit of glitz and glam. I was going to say something then, but it might get blown out of context… I just want to experience the Strictly curse!”

Strictly Come Dancing will return to BBC One later this year.
