Every day on drivetime our Gaby Roslin suggests a movie or a telly show for you to kick back to, relax, grab a cuppa and escape into the world of entertainment.

This weeks Six Picks:

BREEDERS

The latest season of Breeders kicked off this week hitting our Sky boxes so what better way to celebrate than by catching up on the previous 2.

Breeders sees Paul (Martin Freeman) and Ally (Daisy Haggard) struggle to balance their full-time careers while dealing with the many trials and tribulations that come their way while raising their young children, Luke and Ava.

Daisy Haggard and Chris Addison recently caught up with Chris Evans on the Chris Evans Breakfast Show with Sky to tell us what’s in store for season 3.

Breeders is now available as a box set on Sky and airs weekly on Sky Comedy.

THE BOYS

Recommended to Gaby by a fellow colleague. In this show we see Super Heros being used more as propaganda machines with the power of the government to help them get away with it all. Think of it as the Anti-hero show!

The Boys is now streaming on Amazon Prime

THE UNDECLARED WAR

Channel 4’s new binge-worthy thriller see’s leading team of analysts in GCHQ secretly working to ward off a series of cyber-attacks on the UK in the run-up to a general election in post-pandemic 2024.

Simon Pegg recently spoke about the ‘terrifying’ inspiration behind new thriller.

Gaby says: “It’s one of those ones I was watching and going… how much of this is actually happening!”

The Undeclared War is now available to stream on All 4.

THE REAL MO FARAH

Sir Mo Farah made headlines this week after his latest BBC documentary aired for revealing he was a victim of child trafficking.

In the documentary The Real Mo Farah, the four-time Olympic champion explains that his real name is Hussein Abdi Kahin and that he was brought to the UK with a woman and her children under the name of another boy called Mohamed Farah.

The Real Mo Farah is now available to stream on BBC iPlayer

MILLION POUND PAWN

Telly has been really serving the good lately! This series aims to reveal the emotional and financial stakes at play in the hidden world of pawnbroking. Another binge-worthy programme to help escape the weekend heat!

Million Pound Pawn is available now on ITV Hub!

DOCTOR STRANGE AND THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS

Gaby's weekend movie recommendation is the latest blockbuster offering from Marvel which sees Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Wanda aka The Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) go head to head in a mind-altering movie for the family!

Warning - this film does have the occasional jump scare!

Doctor Strange and The Multiverse of Madness is available to stream on Disney+
