The strongest couple in rock and roll are celebrating 40 years since they tied the knot.

Black Sabbath rocker Ozzy Osbourne and wife Sharon have been busy reflecting on the relationship, which spans over five decades in total.

They paid tribute to each other via social media, in which Ozzy shared a picture from their 1982 wedding in Hawaii on Instagram.

In the sweet throwback photo, Ozzy and Sharon are both dressed in white, while the singer dons his classic shaggy hair with leaves around his neck. Sharon stars up adoringly at Ozzy while in her stunning dress and veil.

Ozzy captioned the snap: “40 Years Ago Today! Happy Anniversary My Love.”

Sharon went a bit more modern with her choice of photo, which shows the pair, dressed in all black this time, holding hands in front of a decadent fireplace.

The TalkTV host wrote: “2022 is a special year for me. It marks 40 years of marriage to my darling Ozzy. We first met when I was 18, over 52 years we have been friends, lovers, husband & wife, grandparents and soulmates. Always at each other’s side. I love you Ozzy.”

Most recently, Ozzy underwent major surgery and kept fans in the lopp with a health update.

Whilst there are no details on what the surgery entailed, the Prince of Darkness himself took to social media to reassure fans that he’s recovering.

Writing on Twitter, Ozzy explained: “I am now home from the hospital recuperating comfortably.”

He continued: “I am definitely feeling the love and support from all my fans and send everyone a big thank you for their thoughts, prayers and well wishes during my recovery.”

Sharon previously revealed on Talk TV's The Talk that her husband was due for an operation which would “determine the rest of his life.”

After the operation had finished, Sharon shared a statement on Twitter, saying: “Our family would like to express so much gratitude for the overwhelming amount of love and support leading up to Ozzy’s surgery!”

She added: “Ozzy is doing well and on the road to recovery! Your love means the world to him.”
