We’re used to seeing Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen in hit show Changing Rooms, and now the king of interior design is set to front his own series that “celebrates homes that take OTT to another level”.

Outrageous Homes with Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen will see the stylish presenter meet people from around the country who have chosen to decorate their homes without fear, in a way that is different from the norm.

The series will celebrate homes that are proudly over-the-top and that have truly outrageous domestic décor. LLB will aim to discover why these homeowners have dared to be different with their designs, as well as finding out how they did it, and, interestingly, how much it all cost.

Laurence will also speak to some of the architects, designers and decorators who helped bring the bold and creative visions to life.

Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen said: “Huzzah! At last, a property show that turns its back on Delusions of Blandeur and instead celebrates homes that take OTT to another level of FABULOUS. In fact, we’ll be filming in spaces of such OUTRAGEOUSNESS I’ll be the most understated thing on screen which is, let’s face it, an extraordinary achievement…”

Deborah Dunnett, commissioning editor for Channel 4, said: “This is an altogether different property series. So as the epitome of extravagance and eccentricity, Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen is the perfect person to host it. Who wants uniformity anyway?”

Last year, Laurence was part of the return of Changing Rooms, which landed back on our tellies in August after a 17-year break. The revamped show came to Channel 4 after being a big hit on the BBC between 1996 and 2004.

The reboot was presented by Anna Richardson from Naked Attraction, while Laurence (who was, of course, a big part of the show back in its BBC days), was joined by new designer duo Jordan Cluroe and Russell Whitehead. Tibby Singh was the new Handy Andy.

Outrageous Homes will be made up of four hour-long episodes. At this stage, no date has been set for its release.
