Get ready for more hijinks - Taskmaster is making its way back to Channel 4.

Greg Davies and Alex Horne will take to their thrones for series 13 later this month, and now we’ve got a new look at what pandemonium the new run of celebs will face.

Chris Ramsey, Sophie Duker and Bridget Christie will be put through their paces alongside Father Ted actor Ardal O’Hanlon and Loose Women panellist Judi Love.

The official descriptions for the 2022 series reads: “Survival for this courageous quintet will depend on their abilities to paint perfectly with their lips, effectively wrangle a cement mixer and chase Alex around a tree while he’s pedalling a tricycle.

“Should they impress the Taskmaster, he will reward them with points and the occasional admiring word. But should they stumble or show any kind of weakness… he’ll scent blood and pounce on them like a puma. (Metaphorically).”

At least this was a simple reveal for the trailer. In true Taskmaster fashion, the release date for the new series was hidden away with a number of clues across Twitter, Instagram and Youtube.

The show shared a graphic to introduce the new participants of the forthcoming series.

In it was a QR code, which led fans to an external page which then redirected to the Taskmaster Twitter account banner.

On there, a message in the bottom left corner told fans to go and visit the Taskmaster Instagram page.

Once visiting the Instagram page, a message squirrelled away in the bottom right corner of the latest post featured a URL, which redirected to the below YouTube video.

In addition to season 13, there will be a 'Taskmaster: Champion Of Champions' special.

It will feature Liza Tarbuck, Kerry Godliman, Lou Sanders, Ed Gamble and Richard Herring.

Taskmaster Series 13 starts Thursday 14th April at 9pm on Channel 4.
