Is your baby's name on the list?

It seems like we all can't get enough of Bridgerton, now that the second season is back with a bang.

The Regency-era romance has stolen hearts, and the Bridgerton family in particular with their alphabetical names has inspired many expectant parents.

The Edit by Silver Cross has shared the most popular names inspired by the show.

It features many traditional names, as well as a few unusual ones.

The report examines the popularity over the last two decades, looking at data from right back in 1996 to the present day.

Charlotte takes the top spot for girls, and has always proven extremely popular.

Two names that have been less popular over the years include Portia and Philipa, which fans now think will become more popular thanks to the show.

We'll have to wait and see if the names of the Sharma sisters, Kate and Edwina, make it into the list going forward.

Here are the popular girl names:

  1. Charlotte
  2. Eloise
  3. Violet
  4. Penelope
  5. Genevieve
  6. Marina
  7. Daphne
  8. Portia
  9. Philipa

For boys, another regal name takes the top spot, with William.

Will Mondrich was the boxer from season 1.

At the other end of the scale, Colin is the least popular name of all the Bridgerton brothers.

It has ranked on average 636th since 1996.

Could we see a revival of Colins?

Here are the most popular boy names:

  1. William
  2. Henry
  3. Anthony
  4. Simon
  5. Benedict
  6. Gregory
  7. Archibald
  8. Colin

Are you surprised?

Elsewhere, fans only just realised that the author of the books made a sneaky appearance in the show.

One of the show's producers also confirmed where Francesca had been.
