If anyone influential from Hollywood is reading this... please, please make this happen.

Master of understated dramatic performance Nicolas Cage has pitched himself to play a villain in a sequel to The Batman. Allow us to be the first to say that this is an eggcellent idea.

Speaking at SXSW in Austin, Texas, while being interviewed for news channel Fox 7 Austin, the Hollywood wildman said, “We have this new [movie with] Robert Pattinson as The Batman, which I’m excited to see. I haven’t seen it yet but I think he would be terrific."

“The villain that Vincent Price played on the 60s show, Egghead, I think I want to have a go at Egghead," he continued. "I think I can make him absolutely terrifying. And I have a concept for Egghead. So let them know over at Warner Bros., I’m down for Egghead.”

Cage is promoting action-comedy film The Unbearable Weight Of Massive Talent, where he plays a fictionalised version of himself opposite Tiffany Haddish and Pedro Pascal. Because of course he does. That film is scheduled to be released in cinemas on April 22nd, 2022.

Eggcellent. Geddit?
