Louis Theroux takes on Joe Wicks' brutal outdoor ice bath challenge and people are in pieces

There's a lot we'd do for Joe Wicks but we're not sure how we feel about submerging ourselves into a freezing cold ice bath. Cue king-documentary-maker Louis Theroux who took part in the PT's outdoor ice bath challenge.

Stripping down to his swimming shorts, the brave star sunk into the bath of ice in Joe's back garden after the PE pro teamed up with extreme freezing sports Iceman, Wim Hof for a video last year.

Fitness guru Joe made Louis stay in the ice-cold bath for a whole minute, while instructing him to take deep breaths during the challenge.

Joe said: "It's amazing for the joints, the muscles, but also the mind. It's controlling those stressful thoughts and releasing a bit of tension."

Sharing the video on his Instagram alongside Daniel Bedingfield's Gotta Get Thru This, he wrote: "I gotta get Theroux this."

He continued: "The Ice man @officiallouistheroux cometh round mine today to record a very special PE with Joe workout with me. It was very entertaining. I’ll be sharing it soon on my YouTube channel. I also convinced him to try the ice bath for the first time and this is how it went."

Followers commented in their droves at the fantastic freeze fest.
