Here’s some cracking news for anyone with a sweet tooth! Aldi is on the hunt for three lucky people to try Easter eggs from their new range.

Yes indeed, you could be one of the supermarket chain’s new Chief Easter Egg Tasting Officers, which will basically involve being sent a whole bunch of free choc. Sounds good to us!

Whoever ends up securing the role of Chief Easter Egg Tasting Officer will be sent a selection of 10 Easter eggs from Aldi's eccentric Easter range, including their indulgent new Ice Cream Eggs and Almond Egg.

But what does the role entail?

Well, all that Aldi is asking in return for free eggs, is for feedback on taste, texture and innovation, in order to help with their Easter range for next year.

Julie Ashfield, Managing Director of Buying at Aldi, said: “We’re delighted to be recruiting a new team of trusty egg tasters who can share their feedback and assist our buying team in curating next year’s range.”

She continued: “We always want an Easter egg selection that boasts new shapes, colours and flavour combinations, and believe our innovation is best when we work closely with our customers. Taking feedback from chocolate lovers will allow us to carry on creating our spectacular range!”

So, how do we apply for this dream role?

Well, if you want to apply for the one of the Aldi Chief Easter Egg Tasting Officer roles, you’ll need to film a one-minute audition video, explaining why you would be the perfect person for the task, and letting them know what your favourite chocolate from Aldi is.

If you fancy having a go at this, then grab your smartphone and get recording, then send your short clip to aldichiefeggofficer@clarioncomms.co.uk by Monday, March 21st.

You’ll need to be available to taste the eggs at home between 22-29 March of this year.

Commenters on Twitter certainly seemed keen on the role. For instance, one person wrote: "Been training for this my whole life."
