Michael Bublé and Kermit the Frog team up for a very special Christmas duet

Even the king of Christmas himself needs a helping hand with his festive renditions from time to time, and who better to turn to than the legendary Muppet. 

For his musical TV special Michael Bublé’s Christmas in the City, the crooner introduced everyone’s favourite frog as ‘someone I’ve admired my whole life’.

Before launching into their cover of Jingle Bells for the audience, Michael spoke to Kermit about returning to the Big Apple. 

In the video clip shared with fans, Michael said: “Merry Christmas Kermit...isn't it great to be back in New York City?" 

To which Kermit, dressed in a snazzy silver waistcoat and red tie, replied: “It sure is, it gives me a chance to do some Christmas shopping for Ms Piggy... what do you get for someone that wants everything?"

Michael then quizzed the iconic amphibian about the one thing we all want to know - his skincare routine. 

He added: “I actually met you when I was a kid and you look just as young now as you did all the way back then, what's your secret?"

In some advice we might leave to the experts, Kermit responded: "Oh, that's easy, I soak in pond scum every day.”

If you weren’t feeling Chrissmassy just yet, their duet of Jingle Bells might just put you in the festive mood, as the pair belt out the classic tune much to the delight of the audience. 

It’s not just Kermit getting the fans on their feet. Michael was also joined by Ted Lasso star Hannah Waddingham and singer Leon Bridges. 

The special celebrates the 10th anniversary of Michael’s chart-topping album, Christmas, with a mix of comedy, music and a host of special guests. 

Michael Bublé’s Christmas in the City will air on Sunday 19th December on ITV at 10:15pm.
