Audience erupts in applause as Harry Styles helps fan come out as gay to her mum during concert

Is there nothing he can't fix? A Harry Styles fan was left beaming after the former One Direction star assisted in revealing her sexuality to her mother while on stage in Milwaukee, USA.

During the US tour, the singer spotted someone with the sign reading: "My mom is in section 201. Help me come out??".

Holding the mic up to her face, the fan shared her news with her mum who was in a different part of the audience, followed by rapturous applause.

Just to clarify the special news, Harry added again: "Lisa, she's gay!".

The fan thanked the singer on social media and wrote: "A moment that will actually be with me forever. Thank you for creating a safe place for me. Thank you for letting me grow alongside you as a fan. Thank you for helping me know who I am. Thank you."

Fellow fans commended: "As someone who doesn’t know if she’ll ever be out to her parents this whole interaction was heartwarming and made me cry. I am so proud of you and happy for you. Hugs."

Another added: "I turned 61, yesterday. I’m gay and this just made my heart burst with joy. To hear that whole crowd cheer like that."

A third applauded: "CONGRATS ON COMING OUT! It takes a lot of courage to show your true colours, and I can’t imagine doing it in front of thousands of people. Welcome to being out!!!!"

A picture of the fan's proud mum was posted online. The caption read: "Everyone meet LISA!!! She is overjoyed & also wanted everyone to know she had the best time and couldn’t stop dancing tonight!!!

"She wanted me to show y’all she got her merch thank you all SO MUCH FOR THE LOVE."
