Elton John joins the line-up for YouTube Pride tonight

Singer, songwriter, and all-round LGBTQ+ sensation Elton John has been revealed to be hosting his very own Pride party at YouTube’s virtual Pride event, which takes place tonight from 8pm GMT.

The singer, along with his husband David Furnish, will host an hour-long celebration on his YouTube channel from 10pm, featuring special, surprise guests and inspiring messages from all corners of the LGBTQ+ community. The couple will also be sharing what Pride means to them.

Joining Elton and David as hosts are and star Olly Alexander, YouTube legend Daniel Howell, royalty Trixie Mattel, and even singer Demi Lovato, who recently came out as non-binary.

Other stars involved in the event include Munroe Bergdorf, Tyler Oakley, PatrickStarr and Elle of the Mills.

The stream is of course there to bring some joy to members of the LGBTQ+ community worldwide, many of whom are still under some form of lockdown because of the pandemic. But it is also raising money for three vital LGBTQ+ charities; The Elton John AIDS Foundation, The Albert Kennedy Trust, which works to combat LGBTQ+ homelessness, and The Trevor Project; a suicide prevention charity.
