You probably don’t need us to tell you that the Toy Story quadrilogy is incredible. Whether you grew up with Woody, Buzz and pals, or watched the movies as an adult, you’d need to have a heart of stone not to be moved by the four brilliant, funny and touching films in the series. Well, now you can experience Toy Story live, as it has been announced that Disney and Pixar are bringing the animated classic to venues across the UK.

That’s right, Toy Story is going on tour!

The events will be a cross between a film screening and a concert, as the Novello Orchestra and its conductor David Mahoney will perform Randy Newman's iconic score live, while the original 1995 Toy Story film plays on the big screen.

The first Toy Story film introduced Buzz Lightyear to Woody and his chums, and set up a narrative that would take us on a rollercoaster of emotions over four films and 24 years, with Toy Story 4 seemingly bringing the tale to a conclusion in 2019.

It remains to be seen whether there is any substance to internet rumours that there might still be a fifth film in the franchise, so if you want some more Toy Story in your life, then you’d better catch one of the live shows, which will take place around the UK early next year.

The extravaganza starts in Cardiff, before stopping off in Bath, London, Birmingham, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Sheffield and Manchester, and ending in Nottingham. Tickets are on sale now through Ticketmaster
