Stephen Graham is back with a grisly bang. The news has been confirmed by pictures on set of the Line of Duty star getting down to shady business at the weekend with Graham wearing his period-costumed gear alongside fellow PB stars Cillian Murphy (Tommy Shelby) and Paul Anderson (Arthur Shelby).

Snapped by Liverpool based photographer Robert David, his exciting return to the hit show marks the final series of the smash crime drama.

Back in April 2020, Graham told Pound for Pound podcast about delays in filming due to the pandemic: "I was supposed to be starting Peaky Blinders but that has been put on hold indefinitely.

"My agent spent a lot of time putting that together."

Graham's character hasn't been revealed yet but he'll be in the final season along with Murphy back as Tommy, Anderson as Arthur Shelby, Finn Cole as Michael Gray and Sophie Rundle as Ada Thorne.

Creator and writer Steven Knight said previously: “Peaky is back and with a bang. After the enforced production delay due to the Covid pandemic, we find the family in extreme jeopardy and the stakes have never been higher.

"We believe this will be the best series of all and are sure that our amazing fans will love it."

Despite the show coming to an end, he added it wouldn't be the death of the tale. He said: "While the TV series will be coming to an end, the story will continue in another form.”

Executive producer Caryn Mandabach added: “Along with our wonderful, supportive, partners at BBC and Netflix, we have been working diligently to ensure we can get Peaky safely back into production; the safety of our cast and crew is always our priority.

"Thank you to all the Peaky fans who have been so unwaveringly supportive and patient.

"Steve’s scripts are incredible and mark the end of an epic story that has entranced audiences since it first started in 2013, but the world of Peaky Blinders will most definitely live on.”
