Could Chris Lomax have crossed us all and be a double agent? That's what fans are saying and they could be onto something following a finger-pointing clue in the penultimate episode on Sunday. Sofa detectives found themselves coming up with even more theories as we near the end of a head-scratching series six.

BBC crime drama die-hard fans have linked Chris Lomax to the OCG after clocking a pub name he was talking about.

We last saw a long-faced Chris (Perry Fitzpatrick) updating Fleming and Arnott on the warehouse findings, as he was told to dig up the floor.

Leading viewers to suspect his motives, he said: "There's strong evidence of workshopping a firearms... A preliminary report of matches between machinery here and markings on the firearms used in the Jimmy Lakewell ambush."

He was then heard talking about going to The Red Lion pub after work.

One fan explained: "During the telephone call Chris Lomax was on before Steve and Kate approached him at the industrial unit, Chris finished the called by saying 'Meet you at The Red Lion at 8pm'.

"Isn't this the same pub Carl Banks boasted about the murder of Gail Vella before he was killed? Might be an OCG meeting ground."

Another added: "He seemed reluctant to get the floors dug up too."

Others flagged up his potential OCG links and wrote online: "Does no one else think Chris Lomax is related to Dot Cotton in some way in Line Of Duty?"

And: "DS Chris Lomax is H. He is Dot Cotton's brother. I have said it from the beginning of this season as soon as he was introduced."
