Everyone's favourite country singer Dolly Parton has had her Covid-19 vaccine and shared it online with her fans. The superstar has even given her iconic hit song Jolene some new pandemic-inspired lyrics by calling it - yes, you guessed it - 'Vaccine'.

The queen of country shared the footage on social media getting her jab and literally singing its praises. She said: "I'm finally going to get my vaccine! I'm so excited!

"I've been waiting a while, I'm old enough to get it, and smart enough to get it, so I'm very happy that I'm going to get my Moderna shot today.

"I wanted to tell everybody that you should get out there and do it too. I even changed one of my songs to fit the occasion."

Dolly then sang her classic Jolene with the updated lyrics.

She continued: "I'm dead serious about the vaccine. So I just want to say to all of you cowards out there, don't be such a chicken squat! Get out there and get your shot."

Jabbed by her doctor friend Naji Abumrad, she told fans: "That didn't hurt! It just stung a little bit, but that was from the alcohol pad. I did it! I did it!"

The super star singer previously donated $1million (£716,000) of her cash to help fund the Moderna vaccine in April of 2020 for coronavirus research.

Fans responded: "I don't think you understand. I’m obsessed."

"I love everything about this," and, "I love you, Dolly!"
