Driving theory exams costing £23 to book through the gov.uk website. It's easy to see how they've spent thousands of pounds attempting.

In third place is a 48-year-old woman who finally passed after 93 failed attempts.

The practical driving exam is even harder for many wannabe drivers.

. A 72-year-old man needed 43 attempts before he finally got the pass he needed. It's thought he spent around £3,225 on exams to pass.

A 47-year-old woman also from England, still hasn't passed after 41 tries. Her bill is around £3,075 and counting.

How's that for determination?
