Everyone loves the M&S snowglobe gin so much they're having to limit sales

The move comes after some cheeky people were selling them online for twice the price. You can't go wrong with a festive tipple and Marks & Spencers snowglobe gin has gone straight to the top of the must-have list for many.

The Christmassy gin liqueur comes in rhubarb and clementine flavours, and it's in a special bottle filled with 23-carat edible gold-leaf flakes. The bottles also contain lights and a skyline design. It all adds up to a gorgeous snowglobe style.

It seems some people aren't feeling the seasonal goodwill and are listing the bottles for more than double their original price online. 

A bottle will set you back £18, but they're sold out online and people are scrambling to find them instore.

To make things worse, some people are even drinking the gin first and just selling the empty bottles at a hefty price! One empty snowglobe bottle was spotted priced at an eyewatering £49.99 - ouch.

Only approved sellers can list alcohol on eBay, but anyone can flog a bottle. 

One Twitter user sent the store a plea: ‘This is the third morning now I’ve woken up to get to @marksandspencer at opening time just for the bottle of the snow globe gin. Still no luck!! @marksandspencer please restock your Doncaster stores, it’s the only thing I want for Christmas this year.’

A limit of two bottles per customer has been put in place as they sell out in hours after every restock.

M&S said it is working to get more stock of the gin in where possible. Bad news though: it won’t be restocked online.
