2020 has been a tough year for many in the music industry, with bands big and small losing out on live music, and independent venues up and down the country are struggling after an enforced closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Blossoms have stepped in to help a venue that they have described as one of their favourites, called 42's in Manchester.
A crowdfunding campaign was set up to try and help the nightclub and venue and Blossoms will be raffling some ultra-rare items.
Fans of the band won't want to miss this, as items in the raffle include original, handwritten lyrics to their 2018 track ‘I Can’t Stand It’ by frontman Tom Ogden, as well as the full outfit he wore in the video for 2016’s ‘Honey Sweet’.
Tom Ogden and drummer Joe Donovan described 42’s as “the best club in town for us.”
In addition to the lyrics and the outfit, the band are donating a rare test pressing for ‘Cool Like You’ that has a spelling mistake, plus a signed Stockport County/Blossoms mash-up football kit created by Bands F.C.
42's are hoping to raise £60,000 to protect the future of the venue.
Tickets for the Blossoms items raffle costs £15, and will be added to the total of their crowdfunder, and you can buy your raffle ticket here.
What good sports.
