Organisers of Glastonbury Festival have confirmed that 2020 will now be an "enforced fallow year" and that this year's event is cancelled.

The iconic festival, which would have been celebrating its 50th year, is the latest to be forced into cancellation due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

In a statement, Michael and Emily Eavis reassured fans that Glastonbury will go ahead in 2021, and that those who had paid a deposit for tickets for the 2020 edition will definitely be eligible for tickets next year. They have also confirmed that those wishing to obtain a refund of their deposit instead will be able to do so by contacting See Tickets "in the coming days".
