Chrissie Hynde from The Pretenders is one of the most iconic women in rock music.

40 years ago, the band released their self-titled debut album 'The Pretenders'. Going into the top ten in the USA and straight to number one in the UK charts, it's regarded as one of the best debut albums of all time.

Within eighteen months, two members of the band had tragically passed away. Despite this, the two surviving members Chrissie Hynde and Martin Chambers continued to make records as The Pretenders, releasing their 10th album 'Learning to Crawl' in 2016.

In this Revolutions In Music, Pete Mitchell tells the story of the band with Chrissie Hynde; from her early life in Ohio USA through to working with her musical hero Neil Young in 2014.
