Glastonbury Founder Michael Eavis set to perform on stage at his own iconic festival

Glastonbury founder Michael Eavis is preparing to take to the stage at this year’s festival.
The 83-year-old farmer and businessman who launched the festival in 1970 is due to appear with his band in the Avalon field with his band next week.
Daughter and Glastonbury co-organiser Emily Eavis uploaded a picture of her dad in music practice to her Instagram account. She captioned it “Michael Eavis and his band rehearsing, pre next week’s gig in Avalon”.
Other artists performing on the Avalon Stage for this year’s festival include Frank Turner, Reef, and James Morrison.
Whilst the founder won’t be performing on the main Pyramid stage this year, the artists who are include Stormzy, The Killers, Liam Gallagher and Lauryn Hill amongst others.
