Matty, George, Adam and Ross confirmed they’re working on another album, set for release later this year, on James Corden’s couch.

The TV host pointed out to the band that it’d been a busy few days for them after they’d rushed back to a studio in Los Angeles, from playing at Coachella, to carry on recording the forthcoming album.

Frontman Matty Healy joked that he thought it was a mistake “right now” before adding “no, of course I am not regretting it!”

Speaking about the album he said: “I want people to have the same sense of freedom that the record has.” He added. “We’re in that age now where you’ll watch the best thing you’ve ever seen on Netflix, and then you’ll be like, ‘That was the best thing I’ve ever seen.’ And then you just want the next thing immediately. And I’m like that with music as well.”

No main details have been announced about the new album but one question raised is, will Mike Skinner feature on the band's upcoming album? Fans started speculating that The Streets frontman will be involved with the band when he shared an image of himself and Matt Healy.

Neither Skinner or The 1975 have confirmed any information that they are working on new music together, so fans will have to wait until the album is released to get their questions answered.
