Foals have promised to play oldies and rarities on their next tour, in news which will disappoint absolutely nobody.

Frontman Yannis Philippakis said: “For our own enjoyment, we’re gonna play songs that we haven’t played before, or haven’t played for a very long time.

“Some of the material is pretty recent and some of it goes back to 2007. We want to try and play a pretty fresh set and air out some songs that don’t normally get a chance to be heard.”

Philippakis also suggested the band may play new material at their shows, but he can't be certain if they will have finished writing any new material by the time of the tour.

As well as their 2017 tour, the band are also set to play at the Eden Project in Cornwall and London’s Citadel Festival this year.
