Things could get very interesting for Radiohead over the coming months.

The band have just announced on Twitter they will perform a summer gig in Israel, despite a widespread music industry boycott.

Thom Yorke and his bandmates will play the Park Hayarkon in Tel Aviv in July. Many other bands have turned down the chance to tour the country, in protest at Israeli settlers' occupation of Palestinian land.

A number of industry titans, like the former Pink Floyd frontman Roger Waters, recently wrote an open letter on behalf of Artists For Palestine.

In the letter, they said that if bands were to go, the Israeli government would use the visit for propaganda purposes to reassure the citizens of the country's normality and sideline the Palestinian plight.

How will this affect the band? Watch this space.
