With Colin from Accounts back for a second season, fans are already wondering if there will be yet more from the acclaimed Aussie romantic comedy drama series.
With that in mind, its writers and stars have now shared a hopeful update about the show’s future, and have revealed that "season two ends in such a way that people will be cross!"
Real-life husband and wife duo Patrick Brammall and Harriet Dyer are the show’s writers, and also star as the main characters, Gordon and Ashley, who are brought together as strangers in season one when they inadvertently injure a dog. The two lead characters become an item, while adopting the pooch and giving him the name Colin.

The first season, however, ends with their relationship going south, and they decide to find a family to adopt Colin. They immediately realise their mistake, however, and vow to get the cute doggo back.
Season two picks the narrative up at that point, and is currently available to watch on BBC iPlayer. But will there be more after the conclusion of the eight-episode run?
"I certainly hope so,” Harriet said in a new interview with What to Watch. “We heard that it got 50 percent more viewers than season one."
Patrick added: "In Australia."
Harriet continued: “Which is massive for that platform, and I think we've been told to expect a call. The call hasn't come yet, but we are quietly confident. And season two ends in such a way that people will be cross!"
Patrick agreed, saying: "Yeah, we certainly leave it open for a third."
Harriet concluded: "We've kind of forced their hand a little bit!"
Safe to say viewers are enjoying the latest season of the comedy. Taking to X, one wrote: “Colin From Accounts is the greatest sitcom of the 21st Century. Not a single word, gesture, or action is wasted. Every single bit is set-up or payoff. It's perfect.”
Another added: “Colin From Accounts just might be the best thing on TV.”
Someone else shared: “One of the best things ever on the telly. Also really great casting - brilliant actors, every single one of them, especially the 2 lead characters. Most enjoyable comedy/drama - well done to all involved.”
All episodes of Colin From Accounts seasons 1 and 2 are available to watch on BBC iPlayer now.
